Animation!

Well, now the rubber hit's the road, and if your browser doesn't cut the mustard, you won't be able to see the demo's here! In that case you will only see this page, since the script here on this page looks to see if your browser has the right stuff, before opening the DHTML page in a new window for you.

Make sure your browser is Netscape 4 or IE 4 or better, and that both your Javascript, or it's Microsoft imitation named ActiveX Scripting are turned on. In Netscape, you must also have Style Sheets enabled, you cannot turn them off in IE. Mozilla 5 (Netscape 6) is now finished in this regard, AOL 5.0 is two different browsers, only one of which is IE 4-5 - try this link if you want.

One disadvantage of DHTML, is that it usually requires a number of images to load, in order to manipulate them on the screen once the script starts running, so the pages take a bit longer to load. Of course, you can use fewer images and rely on text fonts and text elements instead to reduce this burden at the expense of less graphical versatility. Relying on fonts also raises the issue of weather the fonts are installed or available on the users machine. :-)
